Sergeant Gordon nodded, his eyes fixed on the student before him who should have clearly been in bed. It was some ungodly hour of the morning.

Sitting alone in the dimly lit storage room, Dara shivered. Rubbing her arms, she felt the goose bumps prickling her skin. The coolness of the grimy wall she leaned on crawled up her spine, sending chills though the sales assistant’s body. Hunching over, Dara hugged both the purple backpack and her Walkman to her chest in a tight grip.
Maybe she should have brought a jacket.
